jo s. June 30 2010 12:21Congratulations to Spain! It was best palyer tan us. First part we were more dangerous but second part was not good. Now I will support... BRAZIL!
rob d. June 30 2010 00:29I thought Portugal had a very good chance against España, but David Villa is a very good goal scorer and it is hard to stop this team when they are playing well. Portugal had a couple chances though... I think it was Meireles who almost had a good header. I like Deco and wish he would have played... yeah well. I thought it would be Brazil and Portugal in the final... so I'm already half wrong. There's always 2014.
jo s. June 29 2010 19:24There's no words, no links to describe Portugal...it's a crazy country, very diferent from thre rest. Maybe because many people arrived to this corner od Europe and lived here during some centuries... Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Visigoths, Celts, Arabs, Phoenicians, Romans, Jews... after... Portuguese travel a lot...we were the first to give a complete circuit around the world, the first to arrive to Brazil, Guine, Angola, Mozambique... we lived in those places during centuries and mix with those people...our culture comprises a lot of each of those peoples...so... I expect Portugal wiil win to Spain! But if doesn't happen... who cares!!! Amigos para siempre! :)

June 28 2010 23:07Sorry to have continued detouring from the main topic of this blog.
But honestly, an article in Wiki is not going to help people to KNOW Portugal. They have to visit it to KNOW it. Otherwise it is just another country description with some statistics that doesn't convey anything to people that want to get the feeling of a place. Unfortunately, I haven't been there, but I've read some interesting travel descriptions.
jo s. June 28 2010 22:59Some people think football is a matter of life and death.
I assure you, it's much more serious than that.

June 28 2010 18:16And before someone wilfully misinterprets me I correct: I am interested in the passion about things (football, in this case)

June 28 2010 18:15Well, I am interested in the passion, not football itself. Right now the streets here are totally empty - everyone's watching the game.
rob d. June 28 2010 17:53you have to love something that draws such
interest and passion from people all over the
world... that's why we're @ amigos.lv, right?

June 28 2010 17:48I think my Spanish colleague would kill you Rob about this :D She was already explosive when Spain lost to Switzerland and apparently nearly vaporized a guy cheering the Swiss with her look alone :D
